Terms of Use

Last updated: 1 October 2026

The short version.

Read the market snapshot. Use it to decide where to bid or how to budget. Do not scrape the site or pass the numbers off as your own product. Posted figures can lag, and they are not advice.

The numbered terms below are the ones that actually bind us both.

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) form an agreement between you and TruffleGig (“TruffleGig”, “we”, “us”). By accessing trufflegig.com or using the Service, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 16 years old. If you are accepting on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind it, and “you” means that company.

2. Definitions

  • Service — the trufflegig.com website, including the market snapshot, rates and demand pages, the waitlist, and related content.
  • Output — the rates, crowding, demand, and other figures shown on the site.

3. The Service

TruffleGig provides freelance market intelligence from public job posts: posted rates, crowding, and demand by category and skill. It is market data, not a job board. You cannot apply to jobs or hire freelancers here.

The Service is under active development. We may add, change, or withdraw pages, fields, and features.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • resell, redistribute, or sublicense raw or substantially unmodified Output as a dataset, feed, or service that competes with the Service;
  • scrape, overload, or interfere with the Service, probe it for vulnerabilities without our written permission, or place load on it that degrades it for others;
  • use the Service unlawfully, or in breach of any third party’s rights;
  • submit other people’s email addresses to the waitlist, or use our contact channels to send unsolicited marketing.

You may use Output in your own work, reports, and client deliverables. That is what it is for.

5. Data accuracy and no guarantee of results

Figures come from a rolling snapshot of public job posts. They can lag the live board, miss posts, or reflect how a job was written rather than what was paid. Rates, crowding, and demand are estimates from that snapshot, not guarantees.

We give no guarantee that using the Service will improve your earnings, win rate, or hiring outcomes. Decisions you take on the basis of Output are your own. The numbers are not advice.

6. Third-party platforms

Trademarks of job platforms named on this site belong to their owners and are used only to describe the public posts we measure. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including our website, software, and brand, belongs to us and is protected by intellectual property law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service and Output for your own purposes, subject to these Terms.

You keep any rights you have in the material you send us. If you send feedback, we may use it to improve the Service without owing you anything for it.

8. Availability

We aim to keep the Service available and will use commercially reasonable efforts to do so, but we do not offer an uptime commitment. We may perform maintenance or suspend parts of the Service temporarily where necessary to protect it. The snapshot can lag.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service and Output are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. Statutory warranties that cannot be excluded remain unaffected, in particular for consumers.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, nor for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill, anticipated savings, or data, however caused.

Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to EUR 50.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

11. Indemnity

If you are using the Service for business purposes, you will indemnify us against claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your use of the Service in breach of these Terms or applicable law, or from your infringement of a third party’s rights.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access where you materially breach these Terms, where use is unlawful or abusive, or where required by law. We will give notice and a chance to fix the problem unless the breach is serious or urgent.

13. Privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service develops. The date at the top shows the current version. Material changes will be announced on the site before they take effect, and continuing to use the Service after that point means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the Service.

15. General

If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our failure to enforce a term is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a business transfer. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between us on this subject.
